I’ve always wanted to shoot in this area and E and B were willing to troop all over the place with me! The colors and textures are fantastic – a photographer’s dream! E is due any day now with her first baby and the two of them couldn’t be any cuter. Makes me long for that first newborn experience again (just a little). Plus, could they be any more gorgeous? I can’t wait to meet their little guy in the next few weeks and he will definitely have a starring role here! Now that spring’s here, I’m gearing up for sessions again! So, hopefully my poor blog won’t be so abandoned!

Welcome Baby N (and yes, I’m still here!) {Sneak Peek}

This little guy was not so little when he came into this world! Well over 9 pounds! Baby N was absolutely perfect. Slept like a dream and did everything I asked : ) His sister was one of my first subjects newborns. His mom, D, and I had a good laugh over the holiday pictures I took of his sister when she was about six months old. Luckily, everything is a learning experience, right?!

I’m sharing the video I put together for the G Family. This is the video that comes with my digital package – it comes iPod sized, sized for a computer screen and also as a high-quality DVD.

I had such a nice time with the N family. After cancellations for weather, sniffles and even the flu, we finally got our session in! And, what a perfect day. It was a little chilly, but little R was such a trooper. Is he cute or what? He and his adorable cousin, M, are going to make quite a little pair as they get older! Okay, I’ll stop talking and give you what you came for. . .images! Crazy busy with sessions, so get ready for more sneak peeks next week! Thanks L and E, I hope you love your gallery!

little miss t . . . another perfect newborn . . . {sneak peek}

Oh my goodness, little Miss T was 9 pounds and seven ounces of pure perfection. Look at those lips and that hair. Plus, she was a dream to photograph – either sleeping, eating or calmly staring at the camera!

This baby girl’s parents won my services at an auction for our neighborhood school and meeting her mom while she was pregnant, I knew she would have a gorgeous baby! I had a great day with her family, even getting little brother B in on the action. He is going to be a great big brother. I bet he is getting lots of attention from his grandmother. The unusually large number of images in this sneak peek are just for Grandma since M told me that she doesn’t have a computer and also because several of the images were taken on her mother’s afghan (that’s your great-grandmother, Miss T!). I love it when clients use meaningful blankets or other items in their images.

Hope you love them A Family! There are so many beautiful ones still to come.

The blog has been quiet, but my schedule has not! I’m gearing up for the fall/holiday rush and can’t wait to capture all kinds of gorgeous fall images. Now if only the weather would cooperate. Rain, rain, go away!

I got lucky with one of my favorite families and we had a beautiful day. I’ve been so fortunate to take pictures of little Miss M as a newborn, at seven months and now, at a year! It is so much fun to see how much she’s changed!

I’m going to keep this short and sweet because you’re really here to see the pictures and I’ve got galleries galore to get up. I’m going to try to get up some catch-up images from the sessions I’ve been doing over the past few months very soon.

Little Mr. P was a photographer’s dream! There are just some babies who make my job so easy. He slept, slept and then, slept some more. It was one of those sessions where I couldn’t pick what to post here. Just too many! I knew I would like C & D right from the start. How sweet is this? D called me to purchase this session as a Mother’s Day present for C – definitely have to like a husband like that!

It was so great meeting both of you finally. (You know I had to include one of your first “baby.”)

Things have been a little quiet on the blog for the past few weeks, but not in my life! Things have been buzzing along and I have lots of sneak peeks that I’m going to share very soon. In the meantime, I’m so happy to introduce my beautiful niece – Miss P! Born 7/8/9 – how cool is that? Here’s a few from the hospital, many more to follow. My sweet girls {my life} . . .Image Overload!

It has been way too long since I dragged my camera around capturing my girls’ every move. With little Miss L at 2 1/2, she usually requires my full attention. But, I am hanging out at my mom’s for a few days and the girls would way rather Nana and Papa take care of their whims than mommy. So, I get to take pictures! I’m thrilled that I finally got a few that I love of L, she is usually running away from the camera.

I love that G and L get the best of both worlds. They are city kids with a Nana and Papa who live on a farm – and a real one at that – hogs, smells, bugs, snakes, tractors and combines. G is going through a little phase where she is terrified of the littlest bug and almost incoherent at big bugs or flying bugs. So, she hasn’t been outside much : ) Plus, it is about a million degrees in central Illinois. But, she was brave today and went swimming in the hot tub for awhile (no swim vest, daddy!), picked strawberries with her sister and did all kinds of other fun things. Papa drove the combine up to the mulberry tree so G could reach and L had so much fun in the strawberry patch pretending to take calls on her cell phone. We saw a big snake sunning itself and all in all, the bugs stayed pretty far away. I think maybe G forgot to be afraid for a little while. It was sweltering. The girls had sweaty, hot faces. But, they had a blast and we got fresh peas, strawberries, mulberries and carrots with dinner.

Sweet little newborn . . . sleep, baby, sleep . . . {sneak peek}

This little girl just wanted nothing to do with sleeping. She was wide awake and ready to go for almost the entire time I was there. She managed to get a few catnaps in, but even then, she was a mover! She’s just gorgeous and mom and dad couldn’t be sweeter with her. It takes a pretty amazing dad to sing a lullaby in front of someone who is practically a stranger.

One of the great things about being a photographer is that you get to see your friend’s babies right after they’re born! This little guy is number four for M & T and he seems to fit right in already. He is joining his two brothers and one sister and the three of them were absolutely angels the whole time I was there. Wait until you see how gorgeous this family is! Enjoy your sneak peek!
