Welcome Baby N (and yes, I’m still here!) {Sneak Peek}

This little guy was not so little when he came into this world! Well over 9 pounds! Baby N was absolutely perfect. Slept like a dream and did everything I asked : ) His sister was one of my first subjects newborns. His mom, D, and I had a good laugh over the holiday pictures I took of his sister when she was about six months old. Luckily, everything is a learning experience, right?!

I’m sharing the video I put together for the G Family. This is the video that comes with my digital package – it comes iPod sized, sized for a computer screen and also as a high-quality DVD.

little miss t . . . another perfect newborn . . . {sneak peek}

Oh my goodness, little Miss T was 9 pounds and seven ounces of pure perfection. Look at those lips and that hair. Plus, she was a dream to photograph – either sleeping, eating or calmly staring at the camera!

This baby girl’s parents won my services at an auction for our neighborhood school and meeting her mom while she was pregnant, I knew she would have a gorgeous baby! I had a great day with her family, even getting little brother B in on the action. He is going to be a great big brother. I bet he is getting lots of attention from his grandmother. The unusually large number of images in this sneak peek are just for Grandma since M told me that she doesn’t have a computer and also because several of the images were taken on her mother’s afghan (that’s your great-grandmother, Miss T!). I love it when clients use meaningful blankets or other items in their images.

Hope you love them A Family! There are so many beautiful ones still to come.

a little time out for my own girls . . .

I’ve been so busy looking at other people’s kids, I decided it was time to take my girls out for a few. There is a spot right near my house that I’ve driven around so many times thinking about all the great colors and textures. I’ve always been just a little afraid that I’d be kicked out since it’s all private businesses. Today was surprisingly nice (rain, rain, rain, please go away so I can fit all these sessions in!). So, off we went to try to get a few holiday pictures! The girls were great. L did not want to cooperate for long, but I still got some good ones and G is the best daughter a photographer could ask for. Always willing to try anything and even coming up with some good shots herself!

Okay, back to editing! K Family look for something later tonight and E Family, yours should be ready tomorrow!

The blog has been quiet, but my schedule has not! I’m gearing up for the fall/holiday rush and can’t wait to capture all kinds of gorgeous fall images. Now if only the weather would cooperate. Rain, rain, go away!

I got lucky with one of my favorite families and we had a beautiful day. I’ve been so fortunate to take pictures of little Miss M as a newborn, at seven months and now, at a year! It is so much fun to see how much she’s changed!

I’m going to keep this short and sweet because you’re really here to see the pictures and I’ve got galleries galore to get up. I’m going to try to get up some catch-up images from the sessions I’ve been doing over the past few months very soon.

last day of school . . .

Well, another year is under our belts here at the Pierce’s. We’re going to a new school next year, so it’s a little sad for us. We were lucky enough to be able to walk to school this year, which is kind of unusual in the city. G woke up this morning and just had to ride her bike to school. Daddy said yes, even though it meant he had to carry her bike all the way home. Since I started taking pictures for other people’s families, I have to say I’ve been a bit lax in capturing the milestones for my own family. As little G was on her way out the door, I managed to get just a few. It’s amazing how much they change in a year at this age! I am so proud of her.

How perfect is this little guy? He spent the whole session either sleeping or looking perfectly awake. Mom and dad seemed so happy and relaxed and I’m thinking Baby B is already taking on that vibe! I got to meet him on his one week birthday and he looked like he’d already added a bit to his almost nine pound birth weight. I had to share a ton because I just couldn’t pick. . .

I discovered that I’m not much of a winter person. My poor blog has been much neglected and really much of that is due to not as many “I have got to post this images.” But, spring is here and my camera has been getting a lot of use! Here are a few of my two girls – I had so much fun with them trying to get good shots for Mother’s Day. As any photographer will tell you, your own kids are the hardest and mine were no exception!

I have a lot on the way – fun maternity shots, images of some new products I’m offering and even a few pictures of boys (it seems like I’ve only had girls around here lately!).

My neighbors might think I’m crazy (very pic heavy!) . . .

I dragged poor L out in the heat for a little photo shoot today. I threw my Grandma Hattie’s chair into the back of my car and we drove down the block. We took a bunch of pictures under the viaduct and then, a few in the middle of a brick street right near our house. I don’t know what my neighbors would have thought if they’d seen me with my poor daughter sitting in the middle of the street or perched on a living room chair in the middle of the sidewalk. Luckily, no one we knew saw us!

After we finished at the first spot, I did something I’ve always wanted to do. There’s a gorgeous church right near my house. Supposedly, one of the only Opus Dei churches in the country, but who knows about that. So, I took a few of L by a big door and sitting next to some columns. She was pretty hot and tired of it all by that point. You’ll be able to tell by her very flushed face. She was such a trooper, especially considering that she is still dropping her morning nap and hadn’t slept. Of course, when G found out that L had taken pictures, she wanted some. So those will be posted tomorrow. There were just too many cute ones of L. I’m having a bit of a problem with my horizontal images, so be sure to click on them to see them larger.

Oh, okay, I better just throw in one of G!
